As AssetLogic continues to grow, we’ve moved into our handsome new UK regional offices. The Post House in Godalming is a Grade II listed building that dates back to the mid-18th century, when it was a substantial family house, shop and wine merchant.
In 1900 it became the town’s post office and in 1995 it was converted into offices. I rather like the fact that we’re working in a building that for almost a century existed to put information in the hands of people who needed it.
Alongside some impressive period features, there are several tell-tale signs of its past lives, including a pair of red telephone boxes by the side door and an extensive wine cellar. So far we’ve been too busy to stock it, but maybe one day…
To be honest, after managing for 18 months in the temporary office down the road, we’re grateful that the new place has carpets, a kitchen and a front door that shuts properly.
If you’re in the area, feel free to drop in and say hello.
